Privacy Policy
A Little Wiser is built to be calm and private. It exists to help you go to bed a little wiser each night — nothing more. We do not run a server that stores your writing, we do not have analytics, and we do not track you.
What we collect
Nothing. A Little Wiser does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts to create and no sign-up.
Where your almanac lives
- Everything you write — your reflections and keepsake lines (your “almanac”) — is stored on your device.
- If you are signed in to iCloud, your almanac syncs across your own iPhone, iPad, and Mac through your private iCloud account (Apple’s CloudKit). That data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy; the developer has no access to it.
- Your preferences (such as your wind-down time) are stored locally on your device.
On-device intelligence
Some optional suggestions (example prompts and a one-sentence takeaway) are generated by Apple’s on-device foundation models when your device supports them. This processing happens entirely on your device. Your writing is not sent to the developer or any third party for this feature.
Notifications
If you turn on the optional evening reminder, A Little Wiser schedules a local notification on your device. No notification content is sent to or through the developer.
Third parties
There are no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or trackers in A Little Wiser.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
